History:
The University of Agriculture (UAF) was first formed as the Punjab Agricultural College and Research Institute by Sir Louis Dane, a former Lieutenant and Governor of Punjab in 1906. It was reformed in 1961 after a plea made by the National Commission on Food and Education on approval from the Government of Pakistan to improve the agrarian system of Pakistan.
Since a large share of the economy of Pakistan relies on agricultural practices, the University of agriculture, Faisalabad contributes significantly to agricultural education, laws, and potential. It also supervises the Zoology Museum, UAF Art Gallery, and University Library.
