Introduction To Pakistan Air Force

Pakistan Air Force is part of one of the Armed Forces and Ministry of Defence which safeguards the aerial zone of Pakistan. It is the aerial warfare uniform branch that aids Pakistan Army and Pakistan Army. It is known as Pak Faza’iyah in Urdu with the motto “Be deserts or rivers; all lie under my wings”. It was founded on 14th August, 1947 with the independence and establishment of our beloved homeland, Pakistan.

There are a total of 70,000 active- duty personnel, 8,000 reserved personnel, 128 Civilian personnel with approximately 871 aircrafts. Pakistan Air Force celebrates its annual anniversary on 7th September every year known as “Air Force Day”. PAF provides most cost effective strategic air defense strategies and logistic communication policies to Pakistan.

There are two Cadet Colleges of Pakistan Air Force in Pakistan.

How To Apply For PAF?

1. Through Internet:

  • Candidates can apply online and get registered for the Entry test by visiting the official website of Pak Air Force I.e. www.joinpaf.gov.pk.

2. Registration At PAF Selection & Recruitment Centres:

  • Candidates can reach out to the PAFS&RCS of their nearest or respective city with the following document and registration fee.
  • Candidates can only bring the original documents at the time of registration.
  • Photocopies of documents will be required after clearing Preliminary test.
  • The registration and brochure fee is PKR 100/-

What Are The Required Documents For Registration In Pakistan Air Force?

  • Original SSC marks sheet or Equivalent
  • Original HSSC marks sheet or equivalent
  • Original certificates of degrees
  • 4 attested passport size recent photographs
  • CNIC or B form

Further Process For Final Selection

  • Candidates will undergo the following processes to reach the final selection in Pakistan Air Force:-
  • Online Registration / Registration at PAFS&RC
  • Appearance in Preliminary Test (e – test). For GDP and Air Defense:- English and Physics and for Aeronautical Engineering:- English, Physics Maths and for CSC:- relevant subjects
  • Candidates who pass Entry Test will appear in Intelligence Test
  • Successful candidates will appear in Initial Interview and medical Examination
  • ISSB tests at Kohat/ Gujranwala/ Malir/ Quetta
  • Medical Screening at Combined Military Hospital CMH/ PAF hospital
  • Final Selection on merit

5. What Are The Ineligibility Conditions For Pakistan Air Force?

A candidate will be ineligible if he is:

  • Twice rejected from ISSB
  • Discharged/ withdrawn/ resigned/ dismissed from Army/ Navy/ Airforce (Armed Forces) for violating discipline, failure in academics/ military subjects, medical inefficiency, weak profile or other grounds or receiving character certificate ” fair”
  • Convicted from the court of law for any impropriety
  • Candidate who provide false/ fake or wrong information will be cancelled and permanently declared ineligible for all types of Armed Forces
  • Dual registration at same or different I & SC for one entry.
  • Announced permanently medically unfit by Defence Forces
  • Thrice failing the initial tests or final merit list for induction of airmen
  • Fraudulent information during registration

For Medical Instructor:

All of the above, except:

  • Suspended or dismissed on grounds of discipline from any Armed Force
  • Expelled from Training institute due to medical unfitness
