Who is Eligible for D Pharmacy?

D Pharmacy (Doctor of Pharmacy) degree is a five-year course with a year consisting of two semesters. Most of the institutes in Pakistan prepare their own tests, mandatory for the admission process.

Applicants must keep in mind the following criterion while applying:

• Must have cleared FSc. Pre-Medical/ A-level (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) or an equivalent program.
• As per the verdict given by the Pharmacy Council in 2009, a minimum of 60 % marks in intermediate or equivalent degree is a prerequisite.
• A-level students are required to submit their required certificates for verification.

How to Apply for D Pharmacy?

1. Visit the official website

The first step towards any admission process has been made convenient for all applicants. Now, there’s absolutely no concept of waiting in never-ending queues for getting prospectus and admission forms.

2. Login

Students need to register themselves at the official website of the desired institute and make an account there. After logging in, get ready with all your documents to fill in the form.

3. Fill in the details

Every admission form is divided into 3 sections. Make sure you fill in the required information specifically and sincerely because the university verifies your shared details with concerned bodies. Here are the 3 sections:

• Biographical details (name, contact, address etc)
• Academic record (grades and information of matriculation and intermediate or equivalent)
• Document uploading (get snagged, eligible and clear copies of all the required documents and upload them)

4. Recheck

This may sound redundant or unnecessary but trust us. You don’t want to regret missing out a significant detail or providing anything false in the admission form. Once you’re absolutely certain that everything’s on point, click the “submit” button.

Fee Submission and Issuance of Admittance Card

Done with submitting the form? The screen will now show you a challan form with the bank details. Get its printout and visit the mentioned branch for the fee submission. Note here that the admission fee is non-refundable.

Once the fee has been submitted, log into your account again and enter the submission details you’ll receive via email or SMS. In a few days proceeding this step, you will receive your admittance card for the entry test either through email or courier service.

Most of the pharmacy institutes open their admission process in July with a deadline somewhere in august for the submission of forms. So, it’s better to mark your calendars beforehand.

Merit

Although the minimum score to be achieved in Intermediate is fixed by PCP i.e., 60%, however, there’s no minimum limit for the entry test score. It depends on the average score of the board examinations and the number of applicants in every district/province.

Important Instructions

Bear in mind that applying to only one university is not enough. Keep at least 3 to4 institutes in mind. Choose your test centers according to your conveyance and accommodation wisely. Once you’ve selected a test center in a hurry, it’s unlikely the institutes will alter your choice succeedingly.
