1. Schools of LUMS

LUMS offers degrees at various Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels in the programs of the following Schools:

1. Suleman Dawood School of Business (SDSB)
2. Shaikh Ahmad Hassan School of Law (SAHSOL)
3. Mushtaq Ahmad Gurmani School of Humanities and Social Sciences (MGSHSS)
4. Syed Babar Ali School of Science and Engineering (SBASSE)
5. Syed Ahsan Ali & Syed Maratib School of Education (SOE)

2. Admissions at LUMS

• Admissions are granted in LUMS on the basis of your SAT scores and the percentage of your Matriculation examination or O-Level grades.

• For favorable admission, you need to have scored at least 70% marks in both your Matriculation/O-Level and Intermediate/A-Level examinations.

• Applicants for the Law degree have to take the Law Admission Test (LAT).

• For engineering programs, candidates have to attempt the LUMS SBASSE Subject Test.

• There is no defined or fixed percentage of the SAT score required. The more you score, the more chances are there of securing admission at LUMS. However, you should try to score at least 1350-1400 in SAT-I to be favorably considered for the admission.

• You need to have a good Personal Statement when sending in your admission application. A promising Personal Statement capitulates your ambitions, commitment and dedication.

• A good set of teacher recommendations gives credence to your strengths and hard work. At least two satisfactory teacher recommendations seem favorable for LUMS.

3. onsideration of Extracurricular Activities

Admissions at LUMS are holistically awarded. This means that not only your academic performance is considered but your non-scholastic efforts are also regarded. At the time of admission, your extracurricular activities are taken into account. These may include:

• Sports
• Clubs and societies participation
• Event organizing activities
• Writing, Debates and Dramatic competitions
• Volunteer/Social welfare work
• Internships or small business startups
• Online courses (educational)

4. Steps of Admission at LUMS

1. Select your desired degree program and look up the eligibility criteria for that degree at the official website of LUMS.
2. You need to apply online on the official website of LUMS within the due dates mentioned on the admission advertisement. LUMS does not accept paper applications.
3. When applying for the desired program, you have to be careful while submitting the required documents.
4. The international students have to apply for the Student Visa for admission at LUMS.
5. Attempt the required admission tests and appear for the interview (if called).
6. After a considerable period of 1-2 months or less, the selected candidates will receive an acceptance letter. This guarantees their admission into LUMS.

4. LUMS Financial Aid

To those students who are eligible for admission but hesitate in terms of the fee requirements of LUMS. You do not need to worry about this. LUMS offers a variety of scholarships, grants and financial aid programs for deserving and meriting students like the National Outreach Program (NOP).
