Preparing to apply for the PMS exam but are confused about its application process?

Those who pass the Provincial Management Services (PMS) exam are directly promoted to the job of a government officer of the Grade-17.

The PMS test is carried out whenever there is any vacancy or opportunity in provincial management.

For those who wish to apply for this PMS exam, we have provided the instructions for the PMS application process for your convenience!

This PMS exam is administered by the Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC). The PPSC presents the forum for those interested individuals who want to be involved in provincial services.

The test structure of the PMS exam comprises 6 mandatory subjects and 30 elective subjects, from which the aspirants have to choose 3 elective subjects from the group.

The passing benchmark for the PMS exam is to attain 33% marks in both compulsory and optional subjects. Whereas the overall total passing marks for the PMS exam is 55% marks.

The PMS Exam Application / Registration Details

1. Before applying, the aspirants need to read carefully all the instructions and information displayed on the official website i.e., http://www.ppsc.gop.pk. The candidates can easily view the eligibility criteria, post requirements and important dates related to the PMS job and test on this website.

2. The candidates can view the instructions displayed regarding:

  • Downloading challan form
  • A video tutorial of how to fill apply online
  • How to change the image size

3. The application form can be filled online after reading the general guidelines and instructions.

4. Before applying online, the candidates need to provide their CNIC number with and without dashes in separate columns. You are also required to provide your email address and the number of your mobile phone for receiving notifications and messaging alerts related to your test. While entering your mobile number, keep in mind that it should not be a portable one that gets converted from one network to another.

5. Try to avoid spelling mistakes and other errors while filling out the application form. If the applicants make any changes or edits in their application, it will be discarded and they have to begin anew with another application form.

6. Personal data and academic information is to be filled accurately. While filling out your bio-data, attach a photograph of the bank challan receipt that you have paid for this exam.

7. In selecting the optional subjects, the applicants should be careful to select the right one elective subject from one optional group.

8. The applicants are instructed to submit their required attested academic documents (Matriculation, Intermediate and Bachelors) along with the application form.

9. A latest passport size picture of the candidate along with the domicile should be attached with the application form.

10. After submission of the application online, the candidates will receive their “Application Number” and “Edit Token Number” via mobile messages and email.

11. The candidates can print the application form for their validation.
