Admission Documents for COMSATS
The essential documents required at the time of admission at COMSATS are:
- Your latest pictures
- Your copy of CNIC or B-form if you are less than 18 years of age
- Full back to the back photocopy of your Matric or O Level mark sheet or equivalent certificate
- Full back to the back photocopy of your Intermediate or A-Level mark sheet or equivalent certificate
- Authentic copy of the NTS result if you have given the test
- Bachelor’s degree mark sheet copy for those applying for Postgraduate programs
- Original paid copy of the NTS challan form if you have not given the test
- Demand Draft from any bank for CUI Islamabad
- For resulting awaiting students, a Hope Certificate or Affidavit (on RS.20/- Stamp Paper) is compulsory
- An Undertaking (on Rs.20/- Stamp Paper) is obligatory to be provided
Eligibility Criteria for Admission COMSATS
The admission processes are held twice a year in June/July and December/January for the semesters of Fall and Spring in September and February respectively. The eligibility criteria vary for different subject courses and degree programs. To be eligible to apply for the Bachelor’s program, you need to have a minimum of 50% marks in Intermediate or A-Level along with the other 50% marks calculated from your NTS-NAT test score.
Admission Test for COMSATS
For those of you are wondering what exactly is the admission test of COMSATS i.e., the NTS test, worry no further! The National Testing Service (NTS) is an organization in Pakistan that holds academic evaluation tests for students who desire to apply for top colleges and universities. It basically holds two types of tests i.e., the National Aptitude Test (NAT) and the Graduate Assessment Test (GAT). For those of you who want to get admission in COMSATS to have to give the NTS test and therefore should log in to the official NTS Pakistan website or visit their local offices.
Admission Process for COMSATS
Follow the 12 but easy breezy steps are given below for the admission process in COMSATS and become a COMSIAN! For information or any query regarding admissions, log on to the COMSATS official website at http://admissions.comsats.edu.pk/Home/Procedure.
Step 1:
Sign in and log in at the COMSATS official website at http://admissions.comsats.edu.pk/. You can choose the campus that you are interested in taking admission in and provide your email address for further notifications.
Step 2:
You need to thoroughly read, understand and agree upon the instructions given after logging in. These instructions contain the eligibility criteria and on how to calculate your merit for degree programs.
Step 3:
You need to submit all your personal information and details. These details include your full name, your father’s name, your gender, nationality, domicile and date of birth. Moreover, you have to provide a valid mobile number and your CNIC number. Make sure these details are accurate and far from discrepancy!
Step 4:
This is the part where your application will be about 16.67% complete. Here you need to provide your precise permanent address details along with the city name and house phone number. If your mailing address and the address of your guardian/father is the same then you can tick the checkbox for it. You also have to provide a phone number of your guardian/father.
Step 5:
Here you need to upload a picture of yourself. Remember it should be decent and have a clear view of your face. The picture must not have any kind of glare, writing or mark on it. It should have a blue background and not be black and white.
Step 6:
Up till this point, your application is just 33.33% complete. But don’t worry now you only have to provide your academic details. In this step, you have to enter in all your previous educational details starting from Matric/O Level, Intermediate or A Level and Bachelor’s information in case of admission in Postgraduate courses. Fill in the year of passing, board name and marks obtained categories.
Step 7:
Now your application is halfway complete. Since COMSATS requires an NTS score for admission at the Undergraduate level, here you have to submit your NTS details. If you have already taken a successful NTS test, then provide your roll number, test type, test date, and marks that you obtained. In case you have registered with the NTS test center and your result is yet to be confirmed then you need to provide the NTS test center name and your roll number.
Step 8:
Now your application process is about 67.67% complete. Here you can fill in for 7 different program choices that you want to apply for starting with the most desired one. Keep in mind your career goals when filling this piece of information out.
Step 9:
In this part of the step, you have to scan all your required documents and post them. For example your SSC transcript or equivalent certificate. Furthermore, you have to scan your B-form or CNIC and upload it along with the documents.
Step 10:
If you require transport or hostel facilities you can fill in the information here. Make sure you think about the hostel accommodation thoroughly before filling in if you are from out of the city otherwise this has a limited number of seats.
Step 11:
Here you can download the NTS challan form if you are applying through COMSATS. You can also download your admission processing fee and after submitting it, scan and upload the paid challan copy here. You also have to give the bank’s name, code and bank address along with the date of depositing fee.
Step 12:
Congratulations you have made to the end of the admission process! Here you just have to read, understand and acknowledge the Undertaking and click on the “Submit Application” button. Make sure you have filled in all the accurate and authentic data at the time of applying otherwise when you submit the application, you cannot change or alter anything. Now just hang in there and wait for the merit list! The next steps you already know by heart are the Orientation seminar and the start of the class!
