Introduction to University of Sargodha

The University of Sargodha (UOS) was awarded the status of University in 2002. Although the main campus is located in Sargodha, it has sub-campuses in Lahore, Faisalabad, Mianwali, Bhakkar, Gujranwala and Mandi Bahauddin.

This public sector university has about 24 departments in the following main faculties:

Admissions in University of Sargodha

The University of Sargodha generally starts its admissions in June/July for the Fall semester and in December/January for the Spring semester. However, the faculty of the Medical and Health Science system of admissions is annually based.

Admission Quota for the University of Sargodha

The reserved seat quota is allocated for the students that fall under the following categories:

  1. Children of Shaheed or War Disabled and Serving Officers of the Armed Forces
  2. Disabled students (only for the LLB course of 5 years)
  3. Children of Lawyers
  4. Foreign candidates
  5. Children of Refugees of IHK
  6. Students belonging from Azad Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan and other provinces (Sindh/Balochistan/KPK)

It is to be noted that the University of Sargodha holds about 75% seats for all on merit but 25% seats are reserved for the Undergraduates (BA/BSc/BCom etc.) of its own students based on merit for (MA/MSc/MCom/MBA etc.) the regular degree programs. So hurry up and start applying!

What Documents are Required for Admission?

Following documents are to be attached with the application form and presented at the relevant department at the time of admission along with the application form:

  • Copy of student’s CNIC
  • Copy of father/guardian’s CNIC
  • Copy of result of Matric or O’Level
  • Equivalent Certificate in case of O’Level
  • Copy of result of Intermediate or A-Level
  • Original terminal degree or DMC
  • An affidavit on stamp paper of a minimum of RS. 50/-.

Admission Fee for the University of Sargodha

This institute charges RS. 550/- to RS. 950/- as the admission processing fee which is to be submitted in any branch of the HBL. The admission form can also be picked up from any branch of Habib Bank Limited.

The application processing fee is only for one program/subject and to apply for another program/subject as well, you need to submit the fee again with a different application form.

Moreover, the University registration fee is RS. 3500/-. It is one time payable only.

Scholarships by University of Sargodha

A total of 27 types of scholarships are offered to the student body to aid and boost their educational motivations. These scholarships range from GPA based to kinship and financial aid and fall under the headings of following main scholarships:

  • Merit-based scholarships that offer 10 different scholarships
  • Need-based scholarships which provide 9 kinds of assistance
  • Welfare based scholarships that provide 8 types of grants

How to Apply for Admission at the University of Sargodha?

The admission application process is quite standard and easy. You just have to follow the below steps in order and precisely to send in your application. For any further query, you can log on to https://su.edu.pk/home/howtoapply.

Step 1:

You can get the application from any branch of the Habib Bank Limited or you can go online and apply for admission at the University’s official website at http://admissions.su.edu.pk/.

Step 2:

You should register yourself at the University’s online portal by using your mobile number. This will generate an application form for you to fill as accurately as possible.

Step 3:

After submission of the application form online, you can generate the challan form from the website at https://su.edu.pk/onlinechallan.

Step 4:

Submit the application processing fee at any branch of HBL at the Account number 00427991796403 or at the Account number provided on the challan form.

Step 5:

After submission of the fee, you can upload the scanned copy of the paid challan form or the transaction detail on the University’s portal so that you can download the admission form.

Step 6:

After downloading the admission form, thoroughly fill and recheck it. Then deliver the admission form at the University by post or hand. Make sure you attach the attested copies of the required documents along with the admission form.

Step 7:

The University will upload the master lists for all students after the end of the admission closing date. Students can correct any error made by them in the application form within two days. After those two days, no data correction requests will be accepted.

Step 8:

The students who got accepted by the University of Sargodha will be informed about their admission through emails, SMS service and official website portal.

Step 9:

The University will issue enrolment fee challans which could be downloaded from the University’s portal and submitted in any branch of the HBL.

Step 10:

It is mandatory to submit the paid copy of the challan form to the respective department within the date constraint mentioned on the challan form.
